The Isaiah singing bit, while cool with this topic, I’m not totally sure was done necessarily for God’s enjoyment. As I understand it, singing was a memorization tool - putting the sermon to a rhythm with a melody helped people memorize it and pass information around.

On a positive note, Lamar mentioned the importance of our lyrics; I had the idea (maybe from God?) that we should use what we’re learning in Tozer’s Knowledge of the Holy to write worship songs.

Lamar has several books for sale. This session covered 1 chapter from a previous book, and 2 chapters from the most recent; “Sing to the King.”
